The STATUS 2 ZERO pushes the boundaries of mountain bikes and breaks through them. Is it a trail bike? Yes. A Bikepark bike? Yes. Going to the store with a stop for a wallride session? Yes. The STATUS 2 ZERO is a bike designed to ride however and wherever you want.
Whether it's on trails, at the Bikepark, on the streets, or simply carving turns with your friends on a local hill, the STATUS 2 ZERO will let you ride your way.
Each build starts with an ultra-durable M5 aluminum frame and tough aluminum wheels. Robust suspension, powerful brakes, and popular drivetrain options complete these builds for taking on big jumps, smooth pedaling, and delivering strong braking. It's not for those counting grams; it's for riders who push the limits of progression and come back for more.
The STATUS 2 ZERO is our first mountain bike. It's a "basic" yet incredibly capable bike intentionally built for smaller riders who want to go all in. It features custom-tuned kinematics and suspension from the Specialized Ride Dynamics team—specifically for smaller riders—and appropriately sized components.
Ride Dynamics Setup: Before reaching your home or local bike shop, each STATUS 2 ZERO receives a special shock tune from our Specialized Ride Dynamics team, a group that eats, sleeps, and breathes mountain bike suspension. The shock characteristics are designed to perfectly complement the kinematics of the new STATUS 2 ZERO.
Each STATUS 2 ZERO model features carefully mounted "flip chips" (located at the Horst Link, near the rear axle) that allow the rider to precisely adjust the frame geometry to their desired riding style or terrain. The bikes are delivered in the high position, but can be "flipped" to lower and slacker: 8mm lower bottom bracket and half-degree slacker head tube angle.
